The brief

The lawn had already lost

Two large dogs had worn the grass back to bare sand. Every trip outside brought some of it back into the house.

The yard was fully fenced and should have been the easiest room in the house to use. Instead nobody wanted to walk on it. With two young kids as well, whatever went in had to survive the dogs, hold a playground, and stop the dirt at the door. The turf carries the playground the owners put up for the kids.

The work

The same yard, walked end to end

The bare ground is what two dogs do to Florida turfgrass. Below the photographs, two clips walk the whole fenced yard end to end, so nothing is cropped out of frame.
