The brief

Nowhere to sit, so nobody sat outside

Past the screen enclosure there was grass, and that was all. Stepping outside meant standing on a lawn with nowhere to put a chair.

So the hot tub went mostly unused, and so did the sunsets. The owners wanted somewhere they could sit out properly — with the dogs, without tracking the yard back indoors.

From lawn to living space
